*Asthma Diagnosis and Treatment-Asthma is
best treated proactively. Regular Peak flow monitoring and pulmonary function
testing along with a good Asthma plan are essential for good control of
Asthma. If you are using your albuterol inhaler more than twice a week
during the day, more than twice a month at night, or have had two major
attacks of asthma this year, you should make an appointment for pulmonary
function testing and an evaluation as soon as possible.
*Allergy
Diagnosis and Treatment-Mild Allergies can be treated safetly with
over the counter Claritin. However, if your symptoms are persistent, than
allergy testing for environmental and/or food triggers is helpful to guide
what to avoid. Additionally a prescription for nasal steroids is often
helpful in controlling symptoms.
